What's Happening Around Our Affordable Communities Willets Point neighborhood transformation featured on NY1 A few months after Willets Point Commons welcomed its first residents, Willets Point continues to take shape as one of New York City's most significant mixed-use developments. Developed by Queens Development Group, a joint venture between Related and Sterling Equities, in partnership with the City of New York, the neighborhood will deliver approximately 2,500 affordable apartments, a new public school and NYCFC's future stadium, helping transform a once underutilized site into a vibrant new neighborhood. Montgomery Gateway residents co-create vibrant mural for their community On July 22, residents of Montgomery Gateway in Jersey City, NJ were invited to participate in the creation of a colorful mural for community room. The mural was shaped by the residents themselves: their pride in Jersey City, their neighborhoods and the place they call home. Guided by artist Julien Gardair, the community was invited to take part directly, adding color, detail and their own mark to the finished piece.
