Learn More Brent Cross Town unveils major public artwork in London On January 19th, mixed-use destination Brent Cross Town revealed a colorful large-scale artwork in North London titled Here we come, here we rise. Measuring 21 meters high by 52 meters long, the permanent public artwork is a collaboration between local artist Lakwena and architect team IF_DO. The technicolor steel wrap surrounds Brent Cross Town's new electrical substation and creates a kaleidoscopic visual illusion of movement as viewers pass by. The electrical substation itself has been designed sustainably, with around 50% of its structural steel being reclaimed and concrete that combines low-cement and ""Earth Friendly Concrete,"" resulting in a lower carbon footprint. Both the new artwork and the substation demonstrate Brent Cross Town's dedication to culture and sustainability, with the intention of inspiring residents and visitors for years to come. A Home for Art and Culture A Home for Art and Culture One Flagler commissions large-scale public installation by artist Fred Eversley On December 14th, Related Southeast announced that artist Fred Eversley will create a new public art installation at One Flagler. In partnership with the City of West Palm Beach, Related commissioned Eversley to produce Portals, a large-scale collection of eight parabolic shapes cast in transparent, violet-hued polyurethane resin. The project represents Everley's largest public art installation to date, and is scheduled to be completed by Spring 2024. The community was introduced to an eclectic mix of local, national and international artists working in a variety of mediums, who were happy to share their inspirations and latest works with visitors. Over 400 people participated in the 2-day event and hundreds more popped in on the festivities, which included family-focused art workshops, education and literacy activities, as well as a local Black authors market, live music and performances, dessert vendors and more. Related in the Community Related Southeast and The Square help provide children clothing and holiday gifts In December, Related Southeast Office team members joined the West Palm community to help fund clothing and gifts for over 200 children during the holiday season. The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program touches the lives of more than a million children in need every year, and now each "angel" will receive their wish list items due to Related Southeast and The Square's partnership with the nonprofit.
