Brent Cross Town launches its retail offering at Neighbourhood Square

Related Argent is pleased to announce that it has secured two exciting new brands for Brent Cross Town’s new high street: the first hospitality venue by Urban Leisure Group and a new grocery store by Co-op. This marks the next milestone for Related Argent’s £8bn park town with Barnet Council.

The new hospitality venue and grocery store will both open in the first phase of Brent Cross Town, developed in partnership with Invesco Real Estate, and overlook Neighbourhood Square – the town’s newest public space and the focal point of the development’s high street.

Urban Leisure Group’s 7,400 sq ft venue will be the first hospitality offering in Brent Cross Town, with a prime position overlooking Neighbourhood Square. Locals and visitors will enjoy seasonal dishes, excellent wine and cocktails and a wide selection of beers on tap in a relaxed indoor and alfresco setting, with the outdoor seating area overlooking the square’s striking water fountain. There will also be a well-stocked retail offering with beer, wine and provisions to go. This will be the 10th venue by Urban Leisure Group, the team behind Alice House in West Hampstead and Queens Park, Coin Laundry on Exmouth Market and Heist Bank in Paddington. The venue is set to open its doors in Spring, 2026.

Co-op’s 3,000 sq ft store will play a central role in everyday life. The leading convenience retailer offers a wide range of fresh and healthy produce, hot food, Fairtrade products and everyday essentials. The store is set to open in time for Christmas.

Brent Cross Town’s recruitment hub will be actively promoting job opportunities to the local community meaning the Urban Leisure Group and Co-op will be investing in the neighbourhood’s future as well as providing essential services.

Adding to the line-up are new indoor padel courts at The 108 – Europe’s first indoor venue for baseball and softball. The courts add to the existing dual-sport batting cages and the American Bar & Grill, tapping into the growing demand for competitive socialising space and underpinning the vision for Brent Cross Town to be London’s go-to destination for ‘participation in sport and play’.

Charmaine Rees, Senior Retail Asset Manager at Related Argent, commented: “The new brands arriving are a testament to our vision for a vibrant, inclusive neighbourhood. Their commitment to ethical retailing, sustainability, and community investment aligns perfectly with our values. These businesses will serve as the cornerstone for a dynamic blend of household names and independents, supporting the needs and aspirations of all who live and work here. With more exciting openings on the horizon, Brent Cross Town is rapidly evolving into a flourishing place to call home.”

Hezi Yechiel, Founder of Urban Leisure Group, said: “We’re delighted to be joining the Brent Cross community. Our venues are designed to bring the neighbourhood together over great food and drink and the shared love of the local. We’re excited to offer a space where people can expect quality dishes and drinks, connection, relaxation, and a great time.”

Robert Tindale, Co-op Property Regional Acquisition Manager, said: “The whole team is delighted to be involved in this exciting development, and proud to be the first convenience store to open to serve this dynamic, vibrant and diverse community. The store will focus on delivering the quality, choice and value which can be enjoyed by everyone, a hub that plays a part at the heart of local life. We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve and support the Brent Cross Town community.”

The arrival of these new brands comes at an exciting time for Brent Cross Town. This summer saw the first residents move into purpose-built BTR homes at Brent Cross Town, adding to a growing community that includes tenants in Conductor House (managed by L&Q), homeowners in The Delamarre and The Ashbee and students in Fusion’s purpose-built student accommodation. Planning permission has now also been granted for the park town’s first retirement living homes and co-living apartments.

Once complete, Brent Cross Town will boast 6,700 new homes, 3m sq ft of offices, a high street, three redeveloped schools, 50 acres of parks and playing fields and over 50 restaurants and shops.
