King’s Cross has become the first real estate destination in Europe to partner with SevenRooms, the leading CRM, marketing and operations platform for restaurants, to launch an aggregated restaurant booking experience.
Hosted on the King’s Cross website, the SevenRooms booking platform allows diners to find and book table reservations at 11 restaurants on the estate, without the need to visit individual restaurants’ websites or search through reservation apps.
The partnership between King’s Cross, SevenRooms and the 11 participating restaurants showcases an innovative, first-of-its-kind approach to cross-promoting multiple restaurant brands across an estate – leveraging technology to help simplify and improve the visitor experience.
Testament to the customer-focused approach at King’s Cross, visitors can now search via SevenRooms for their preferred date, time and number of diners and a list of restaurant table availability across the estate will appear. This maximises revenue potential at the restaurants by ensuring all available tables can be booked quickly and easily, reaching more guests, more often.
Leveraging SevenRooms’ technology, participating restaurants not only benefit from more booking potential, but have the ability to capture guest booking details like allergies or special occasions and collect and respond to customer feedback, delivering more personalised guest experiences that improve loyalty and repeat business.
Participating restaurants so far include Barrafina, BAO, Caravan, Coal Office, El Pastor, Hoppers, Kimchee, Lina Stores, Parrillan and Porte Noire, with others in the pipeline.
James Rayner, head of retail at King’s Cross, said: “We know through our ongoing listening work that customers want a faster and easier way to find and book tables at our restaurants, so we wanted to implement an innovative solution that would create a frictionless customer experience for diners at King’s Cross.
“Working closely with our proptech team and F&B operators across the estate, we have been able to facilitate this easy-to-use booking platform that allows customers to get a single view of table availability and make bookings without having to visit multiple websites, which can be time-consuming and frustrating. We hope to see many more of our restaurants represented on the platform in the future.”
Jack Sibley, head of proptech and innovation at King’s Cross, added: “Proptech is critical in delivering a best-in-class digital customer experience, ensuring King’s Cross remains a technology-enabled place that delivers real value for its customers and communities. King’s Cross is such an exciting and in-demand destination and unique digital experiences for customers, like this one, help to reinforce its status as one of Europe’s leading real estate destinations.
“We’re excited to partner with SevenRooms to become the first European real estate destination to offer an aggregated table booking experience across multiple restaurants, in turn improving the customer experience for our diners and maximising the number of bookings for our restaurants.”
Danilo Mangano, EVP, International at SevenRooms added: “We are excited to work with King’s Cross on this unique partnership, helping our restaurant partners across the estate to not only capture more bookings, but maximise revenue by keeping diners within the family of King’s Cross brands. We hope that by delivering this customer-first experience, customers will keep choosing King’s Cross as their dining destination of choice.
“Helping our restaurant partners provide incredible guest experiences is at the core of what we do at SevenRooms. It is our mission to help restaurants thrive, and partnerships like these are incredibly impactful in helping bring more business to our restaurant partners by making it easier for diners to book reservations at the places they want to go. This partnership, in collaboration with King’s Cross and the 11 restaurants at the estate, is one of the many ways we are furthering our mission by helping them deliver experiences that will get guests to return and spend more money, more often.”
SevenRooms helps more than 10,000 restaurants, hotel, F&B and entertainment customers using the platform leverage marketing and operations tools to deliver more personalised guest experiences, while enabling diners to easily book, manage and cancel upcoming reservations.
King’s Cross is currently running several proptech pilots which address some of the biggest challenges faced by the property sector over the next decade. These include enhancing the customer experience for its visitors, residents, businesses and communities through unique digital experiences, supporting King’s Cross’s journey to net zero carbon and enabling data-driven decision-making across the King’s Cross team.
