This summer, the King’s Cross Riviera is back and with it, something brand new for 2024 – the King’s Cross Souvenir Shop.
From 25 July until 8 September, the King’s Cross Souvenir Shop will inject a bit of fun and happiness into daily life, inviting people to capture and keep a memory of their 2024 trip to the King’s Cross Riviera.
Combining French Riviera signature stripes with a sprinkle of British seaside charm, the limited-edition pop-up will showcase a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind souvenirs in collaboration with some of the capital’s coolest artists and designers, including Real Hackney Dave, MaxMadeMe and Lucy Loves This.
From classic Riviera striped towels and sticks of rock to kitsch art prints, slogan postcards, keyrings and t-shirts, memories can be captured and bottled in a single souvenir. Each piece is a love letter to those lazy, hazy days of summer, infused with the cool vibe of King’s Cross and its reputation as a cultural playground in London. Whether you’re a local or a wandering globe-trotter, the King’s Cross Souvenir Shop is your go-to for making memories last.
With King’s Cross expecting a flurry of UK and international visitors this summer, the Souvenir Shop is an essential part of the King’s Cross Riviera itinerary, which this year includes an Official Team GB Fanzone on Lewis Cubitt Square for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Visitors passing through on their way to the Fanzone can pick up a cool, quirky, and fun keepsake to remember their experience in London’s most happening summer spot. Couple this with a quick game of KX Pétanque on Pancras Square and a Pimm’s in front of Screen on the Canal and you really do have the best day out in London!
Chrissy Cullen, Related Argent’s Place Marketing Director at King’s Cross, said: “The Souvenir Shop is a brilliant celebration of creativity, community… and nostalgia! At King’s Cross, we’re not just providing the destination for people to make memories this summer, we’re giving them the chance to bottle up their memories with a quirky keepsake to take home. We’ve partnered with some of the city’s coolest artists and designers to create some truly one-of-a-kind King’s Cross mementoes – all at affordable prices – and we can’t wait for people to come and see what’s on offer.”
Curated by illustrator and designer Carol Maxwell, who just launched PopShop, the vibrant, colourful beach hut style pop-up shop can be found in Granary Square between Thursday 25 July and Sunday 8 September.
