Rosemary Square to welcome West Elm summer 2021

West Elm’s addition completes transformation of downtown West Palm Beach into a design hub with 100,000+ square feet of premier home goods retailers at Rosemary Square.

Rosemary Square today announces the expansion of its retail offerings by welcoming West Elm, the global design and lifestyle company committed to conscientious design, sustainability, local makers and designers. The brand new 10,000+-square-foot location is scheduled to open in summer 2021 and will be the retailer’s newest location in Palm Beach County.

Showcasing its esteemed collection of original, modern home furnishings and décor, West Elm will open its doors in the heart of the newly transformed Rosemary Square in downtown West Palm Beach. The neighborhood is best known for hosting regular community events, unique brand activations, pop-ups and workshops led by local small businesses that spur creativity and connect like-minded individuals around the 72-acre park-like environment.

West Elm will join a coveted lineup of leading home and design retailers including the destination’s home furnishings anchor, RH West Palm, a four-level modern retail showroom with an upscale rooftop restaurant. Additional design stores include Casper, an award-winning provider of mattresses, sheets and quality-crafted sleep products; Shade Store, a custom shades, blinds and drapery store; Sur La Table, home to the finest cookware, dinnerware, kitchen electrics and bakeware goods; Natuzzi Italia, offering luxury furnishings from sofas to beds; Urban Outfitters, opening in early 2021; and Anthropologie, which incorporates home accessories into its retail stores.

The addition of West Elm coincides with West Palm Beach emerging as one of the nation’s fastest growing commercial centers alongside the increasingly sought-after residential communities of Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Jupiter and adjacent cities that are seeing tremendous demand in residential real estate. That, coupled with the anticipated wave of businesses and companies looking to relocate, has heightened the need for access to world-renowned design brands and art galleries to decorate newly purchased homes.

“With the surge in home purchases and rapid increase in development within the last year, the demand for quality design is hitting a new peak and Palm Beach County has become the epicenter,” says Gopal Rajegowda, partner for Related Southeast. “As buyers continue flocking to Florida for our unrivaled year-round outdoor lifestyle, we will continue to see an increase in premium real estate sales, driving demand for new home furnishings purchases. We are pleased to welcome West Elm, which will help serve the growing design needs of residents and is sure to become a must-visit destination for all design-minded visitors.”

Since its redevelopment, Related Southeast has concentrated on bringing world-class design talent to West Palm Beach. The mixed-use developer has tapped architect David Childs, most recently known for his remarkable One World Trade Center as well as 35 Hudson Yards, to design One Flagler, a state-of-the-art Class-A office building that will extend West Palm Beach's Flagler waterfront greenbelt with 1.25 acres of green space. David Manfredi of Elkus Manfredi Architects is leading the planning and design at 360 Rosemary, a 300,000-square-foot Class-A office tower opening Q2 2021. Meyer Davis, an award-winning firm at the forefront of high-end design, which is known as the designer of Oscar de la Renta's boutiques, is conceptualizing the interiors for 575 Rosemary, a 21-story mixed-use tower expected to be complete in 2023.

Additionally, there has been a noticeable increase in interior designers and distinguished art houses expanding in the region. Most recently, Acquavella Galleries, distinguished for its expertise in the fields of 19th, 20th and 21st century art; Pace Art, which houses a large collection of original art by prestigious artists collected around the country; and Sotheby’s, the premier broker of Contemporary, Modern & Impressionist, Old Master paintings, jewelry, watches, wine, Decorative Arts, Asian Art and more are setting up pop up galleries in Palm Beach, proving that galleries are following their client base.

Recently added retail experiences further round out Rosemary Square’s comprehensive collection of leading brands across categories, from culinary to unique cultural exhibitions. For more information about Rosemary Square, please visit www.rosemarysquarewpb.com.
