Hudson Yards to host free holiday programming throughout the season

The neighborhood welcomes the public to celebrate the holidays with a daily light show, free performances every Tuesday and Saturday and extended hours.

What:
Hudson Yards' inaugural holiday program “Shine On” extends throughout the holiday season with free live performances and events throughout the neighborhood every Tuesday and Saturday through December 24th.

You can find full holiday programming details for the season here

B-roll and images of the “Shine On” public unveiling and performances are available here.

Each day at 5PM through January 5th, Hudson Yards invites the public to experience the “Shine On” show, when the neighborhood will transform into a colorful light spectacle. Christopher Schardt’s installation, entitled Lyra, features a series of star-shaped sculptures, each comprised of thousands of individually controllable LED lights. Each star displays images of stars, plants, birds and abstract designs dancing across its surface, synchronized to a classical soundtrack evoking the holiday season. The lights will undulate continuously throughout the day and night. Visitors are also welcome to enjoy the Wells Fargo Lodge, located just outside of Vessel, for a 360-degree photo booth, hot chocolate sampling, holiday selfie cookies, charging stations and more.

Fun and games continue inside The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards with exclusive products, offerings and seasonal menus. On Levels 2 and 4, Wells Fargo kiosks will offer gift wrapping, holiday card photo opportunities and more. On Level 3, SAP will host a “Holiday Match and Win” game with a chance to win prizes from Hudson Yards retailers.
