Related Companies and Neiman Marcus today unveiled a model residence at Fifteen Hudson Yards, the site’s first tower with for-sale residences, designed and styled by Ken Downing, fashion director for Neiman Marcus. Inspired by decades of travels to the world's fashion capitals, a passion for art collecting and the building's sweeping skyline views, Downing's design interprets Neiman Marcus' distinct, luxury jet-set style for New York City. Select items curated for the residence are available for purchase through a brand new Neiman Marcus microsite that launches today and can be viewed at

Fifteen Hudson Yards, designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Rockwell Group, offers a collection of 285 one- to four-bedroom condominium residences paired with a suite of all-encompassing lifestyle amenities and services that come with living at Hudson Yards. The first residents of Fifteen Hudson Yards are anticipated to move in later this year and the Hudson Yards neighborhood is on track to open in spring 2019. This will include The Shops at Hudson Yards, which is anchored by New York City’s first Neiman Marcus.

“Great design breaks boundaries and creates the unexpected experience that inspires our everyday lives,” said Ken Downing, fashion director, Neiman Marcus. "Art truly satisfies the soul and gives the imagination room to dream. I have long believed that when you surround yourself with truly inspirational objects, you feel more alive. When I began Fifteen Hudson Yards, I wanted to create a jewel box in the sky that was symbolic of the vibrant new neighborhood it towers above. Embracing bold color and an eclectic mix of furniture and art, Fifteen Hudson Yards is more than a home—it’s a statement!”

A prominent fixture at fashion shows around the world, Downing curates the styles and trends that Neiman Marcus stands for each season. He applied the same approach to the residence, pairing colors from the runway with a diverse selection of art and vibrant furniture textures to enhance this exceptional space. The model home, 25G, is priced at $4,285,000 and features two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms spanning 1,464 square feet.

“We are thrilled to partner with Neiman Marcus and Ken Downing to create this one-of-a-kind model residence,” said Stephen Earle, senior vice president and creative director, Related Companies. “Ken’s unique ability to capture the creative spirit of Hudson Yards, incorporating fashion, arts and pop culture sensibilities, is showcased throughout the home. We are excited for Neiman Marcus to be a part of this new neighborhood and to open their doors as the anchor of The Shops at Hudson Yards next year.”

The colors and sculptural elements Downing selected for the residence enhance the sun-drenched, floor-to-ceiling corner views of the Hudson River and the Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens. The kitchen, which is open to the great room, is outfitted with a unique free-standing island, custom oak wood cabinetry and Miele appliances. The corner master bedroom suite features vibrant touches including a lavender Venetian chandelier that hangs above the bed and corner column painted by Brooklyn artist Nathan Green, who incorporated mauve and rose colors inspired by the sunset views.

The second bedroom features a library outfitted in a vibrant peacock teal color paired with the warmth of gold, brass and wood accents. The residence also features an elegant entry foyer and a powder room for guests, making this a truly exceptional home. Neiman Marcus will celebrate the collaboration with a six page spread in the February Horchow catalog, as well as through digital and social channels, allowing customers to purchase items featured in the model residence. Hudson Yards residents will enjoy a number of exclusive lifestyle benefits and services including in-home design consultation and other styling services.

A variety of additional perks will be available when Neiman Marcus’ Hudson Yards flagship opens next year, including invitations to exclusive events and designer launches, in-home tailoring, customized fashion services and other bespoke offerings. Fifteen Hudson Yards features 40,000 square feet of world-class amenities designed for residents of all ages and features 360-degree views of the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty and city skyline. The entire 50th floor is dedicated to wellness, including an aquatics center with a 75-foot-long swimming pool, private spa with treatment rooms, beauty bar outfitted for hair and makeup services, fitness center designed by The Wright Fit, private studio for yoga and group classes and a children’s imagination center.

The 51st floor is devoted to entertaining, leisure and cultural pursuits, featuring a club room, two corner private dining suites, soundproof screening and performance room, golf club lounge, wine storage and tasting room, business center and a collaborative workspace. The top of the building encompasses a Skytop entertaining suite with one-of-a-kind spaces for relaxing and dining. In addition to exceptional white-glove treatment, residents also enjoy exclusive benefits throughout Hudson Yards, from in-residence dining to personal shopping to onsite spa and beauty services.

Hudson Yards is an entirely new neighborhood on Manhattan’s West Side and comprises more than 18 million square feet of mixed-use development. When complete, Hudson Yards will include more than 100 shops and restaurants, signature restaurants and diverse eateries; approximately 4,000 residences; 14 acres of public open space; a new 750-seat public school; and an Equinox Hotel® with more than 200 rooms—all offering unparalleled amenities for residents, employees and guests.
