Forty Five Ten announces inaugural New York store at Hudson Yards

Visionary boutique brand to create 16,000-square-foot luxury fashion retail destination on Manhattan's West Side

Forty Five Ten, the Dallas-based luxury boutique brand, announces its New York City debut with a location in Manhattan's Hudson Yards slated to open in March 2019. "There's nothing more thrilling to me than finding new talent and undiscovered gems, and showcasing them in a way only Forty Five Ten can," says Vice President of Creative and Women's Fashion Director Taylor Tomasi Hill. "Hudson Yards will allow us to grow our New York market, yet keep our personal approach to every element of the business⁠—it's the only way that feels right to us."

Forty Five Ten Hudson Yards joins the brand's five other stores across Texas and California. The design concept for the Hudson Yards outpost, created in partnership with New York-based firm Snarkitecture, echoes Forty Five Ten's inherent curiosity and regard for the unusual design element. The 16,000-square-foot multi-section store presents the brand's evolving selection of emerging and pillar designers in the worlds of women's, men's, home and beauty.

The New York location will be the second largest for the brand, following its flagship store in the heart of downtown Dallas, which was completed in 2016 succeeding the brand's acquisition by Headington Companies in 2014. An emblem of the city's urban renaissance, the Dallas flagship earned Forty Five Ten the reputation as an anchor of neighborhoods on the rise. The groundbreaking Hudson Yards development, situated in the fastest-growing cultural and professional neighborhood in Manhattan, is, therefore, a natural new address.

Designed by the celebrated Elkus Manfredi Architects, The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards pays homage to the industrial past of the West Side. Steel and dark wood are featured prominently to reference the rail yards that once dominated the area and High Line, and natural stone floors and exposed support structures contribute to the rough-hewn, urban elegance of this vertical neighborhood. Signature restaurants and food experiences by chefs and restaurateurs Thomas Keller, José Andrés, David Chang, Michael Lomonaco, Costas Spiliadis, rhubarb and D&D London will be featured. Shoppers will also have direct access to The High Line and an underground connection to the No. 7 Subway, making the Hudson Yards retail center one of the most connected shopping destinations in the city.
