The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi’s new luxury shopping and dining destination, last night hosted the glamorous event The Galleria: A Showcase of Style which revealed the district’s unrivalled offerings. Anchored by the most prestigious names in fashion and jewellery, The Galleria has quickly established itself at the forefront of luxury retail offerings.
The dramatic showcase encapsulated the unique experience offered by the precinct, further securing The Galleria’s position as the ultimate destination for luxury in the region. Framed by the stunning sculptural glass atrium, The Great Room set the scene for a memorable night in which the glitterati of the UAE were brought together to celebrate the Capital’s much anticipated urban hub. In an evening that thrilled and delighted, there was ample opportunity for guests to mix with the top echelons of the local and regional fashion circuit, during a stunning reception with the who’s who of the region.
The gala event was attended by HH General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and His Majesty the King of Morocco, H.H. Igniting the evening’s entertainment, and to mark the official opening of The Galleria, HH General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and His Majesty the King of Morocco took part in a virtual ribbon cutting ceremony, which sparked an interactive spiral of illuminations across the property and highlighted The Galleria’s iconic architectural elements in spectacular fashion. Overlooking the Abu Dhabi skyline on The Galleria’s breathtaking promenade, A Showcase of Style presented an enchanting show which crossed the boundaries of theater, fashion and art installation. Curated to provide the perfect stage for The Galleria’s bespoke style, the Showcase reflected the four of the principal cornerstones of The Galleria: innovative architectural design, thriving urban hub, energetic lifestyle living and glamour unlimited, all housed within a stylish district. Complementing the dynamic retail environment The Galleria offers, the visuals for A Showcase of Style used augmented reality to push the boundaries of technology and design resulting in a completely unique sensory encounter.
