New shops and bars transforming Time Warner Center, C. Wonder, L. K. Bennett and Chef Michael Lomonaco's Center Bar are among the new additions

The view inside the tiered Great Room of The Shops at Columbus Circle will look very different come fall 2012, transformed with the unveiling of several new shops. London’s iconic fashion house L.K. Bennett opened in spring 2012 and New York sensation C. Wonder (September) and fashion powerhouse H+M (October) announced their impending arrivals. Expansions include the introduction of the J.Crew Men’s Shop, Crewcuts by J. Crew, and Sephora (July), who will move into a larger space to accommodate a Beauty Bar. In a continued series of firsts, The Shops at Columbus Circle is the first New York location for L.K. Bennett, the British ready-to-wear and accessories brand known for accessible luxury items that blend femininity, color and style.

The Shops will also be the first Midtown location for clothing, accessories and home decor retailer C. Wonder, celebrated for its vibrant shops with decorative schemes and jubilant staff. J. Crew underwent an extensive remodel, adding a Crewcuts collection that will provide stylish children’s wear as well as an expanded women’s assortment with the addition of a shoe and handbag salon.

Stone Rose Lounge introduced weekend lunch in March, with a classic comfort food menu created by Chef Marc Murphy of Benchmarc Restaurants. Dishes include lobster rolls, paninis, soups and spicy chicken wings, along with specialty spring cocktails. Lunch will be served Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Center Bar by Chef Michael Lomonaco of Porter House New York will also open in September on the fourth floor of Time Warner Center, offering a 40-seat lounge with sweeping views of Columbus Circle.

Center Bar will serve Champagne and wines, as well as small plates. The new shops are the next chapter in an evolving Time Warner Center story and follow several openings in late 2011, including J.Crew Men’s Shop; trendsetting jewelry company Mariam Salat; olive oil purveyor O & CO.; the pub-style On Tap at Whole Foods Market and renovations to The Gerber Group’s Stone Rose Lounge.
