Originally constructed in 1982 and located across the street from Lake Merritt in Oakland, Noble Tower is the restoration of a 195-unit independent living community for low-income seniors and disabled persons of any age. In 2004, Related and East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation purchased the tower and renovated the units and the community space, including the addition of a fitness room and computer lab. Noble Tower is located in walking distance to transportation, the Lake Merritt BART station and retail.
