VaynerMedia moving corporate headquarters to 10 Hudson Yards

Hudson Yards continues to attract world-class brands seeking the most connected and responsive neighborhood ever created.

Related Companies, Oxford Properties Group and VaynerMedia today announced that VaynerMedia will move its corporate headquarters to 10 Hudson Yards. VaynerMedia, a social media-first digital agency, has leased more than 88,000 square feet of office space for its 450-plus New York City employees, joining Coach, Inc., L’Oréal USA and German Software engineering giant SAP at the site’s first office building. 10 Hudson Yards is 85% committed and opens early next year.

VaynerMedia’s move to Manhattan’s West Side further illustrates the shift of New York City’s commercial district to the south and west, and proves once again that the high-tech quantified and connected community being developed at Hudson Yards is not only a critical part of New York’s emerging tech hub, but is also creating the collaborative work environment employees have come to expect in today’s workplace.

“We are thrilled to welcome VaynerMedia to Hudson Yards and our marquee roster of tenants,” said Jay Cross, president of Hudson Yards. "VaynerMedia is a revolutionary firm that merges digital advertising, creative services and technology. The company and its CEO, Gary Vaynerchuk, a leading figure in the New York technology world, represent all that is forward-thinking in the workplace, and are therefore an ideal fit for the 21st century community we are creating at Hudson Yards."

“As New York City continues to establish itself as a tech center, Hudson Yards offers a unique opportunity to be at the center of this thriving ecosystem of creativity and technology,” said Gary Vaynerchuk, co-founder and CEO of VaynerMedia. “As a leader, I always want to put people in a position where they can succeed, and I believe Hudson Yards—and Manhattan’s new West Side—is that place. 10 Hudson Yards not only offers the VaynerMedia team a truly unique and collaborative work experience that can’t be found anywhere else in the city, but it also puts us in the center of New York’s next great neighborhood. I am proud to become one of the first commercial tenants that will make Hudson Yards home, and to continue to help write the next chapter of New York City’s tech industry.”

Hudson Yards offers a true interactive, data-driven environment for its tenants, making it a perfect location for technology-focused companies looking for state-of-the-art infrastructure. Communications on-site will be supported by a future-proofed fiber loop providing fast, uninterrupted service. With power generation capabilities and an on-site microgrid, Hudson Yards will remain operational regardless of any outside interruption, including a brownout or superstorm. And, as the first quantified community in the United States, Hudson Yards will be a fully-instrumented urban neighborhood able to measure and analyze key physical and environmental attributes including: pedestrian and traffic flow, air quality, energy production and usage, solid waste, organic waste and recyclables and health and activity levels of residents and employees, among others. This data will be used to continually improve the worker experience, while also making the neighborhood more efficient and improving operational efficiencies, productivity and quality of life.

Hudson Yards will also be home to New York City’s smartest and most sophisticated park. The 4.5-acre Public Square at Hudson Yards will be located right outside the front door of 10 Hudson Yards and will be unlike any other park in the city. With jet engines used to remove heat from the train yards below, air-conditioned soil for plantings and an advanced irrigation system collecting rainwater, the Public Square will create an urban oasis for all employees. 10 Hudson Yards was designed by acclaimed global architects Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and stands 895 feet tall with 52 stories. It offers VaynerMedia employees a unique work location that is integrated with the celebrated High Line and adjacent to the highly anticipated Culture Shed. Construction on the 1.7-million-square-foot tower began in December 2012. VaynerMedia, Coach Inc., L’Oréal USA and German software engineering firm SAP will begin moving into the tower in early 2016. 30 Hudson Yards will be home to Time Warner Inc., HBO, CNN, Turner Broadcasting and the Warner Brothers divisions. Hudson Yards is the largest private real estate development in the nation’s history. It is anticipated that more than 24 million people will visit Hudson Yards every year. The site itself will include 17 million square feet of commercial and residential space, more than 100 shops and restaurants—including New York City’s first Neiman Marcus and a new restaurant by famed chef Thomas Keller—approximately 5,000 residences, a unique cultural space, 14 acres of public open space, a new 750-seat public school and a 200-room Equinox® branded luxury hotel—all offering unparalleled amenities for residents, employees and guests.

The development of Hudson Yards will create more than 23,000 construction jobs, and when completed in 2024, more than 40,000 people a day will either work in or call Hudson Yards their home. For more information on Hudson Yards, please visit hudsonyardsnewyork.com.
