Related Companies names Jeff T. Blau Chief Executive Officer, Bruce A. Beal, Jr. President and Kenneth P. Wong Chief Operating Officer and Director of International Development, Stephen M. Ross to continue current role as Executive Chairman

Related Companies Executive Chairman Stephen M. Ross today announced that Jeff T. Blau has been named Chief Executive Officer of Related Companies, Bruce A. Beal, Jr. named President of Related Companies and Kenneth P. Wong named Chief Operating Officer and Director of International Development of Related Companies. Mr. Ross, Mr. Blau, Mr. Beal and Mr. Wong will compose the Company's executive committee.

The last decade has been a time of remarkable growth for Related. The company completed Time Warner Center and numerous iconic buildings, was awarded the massive Hudson Yards development, established new levels of customer service now synonymous with the Related brand, aligned itself with an elite group of national and international investors raising $1.4 billion in corporate equity and debt investments, spearheaded a diverse fund management platform raising over $1.5 billion in third party capital, created an advisory services business, expanded its development business in Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Brazil, grew its development pipeline in New York, Boston, California, Chicago, Colorado and South Florida, and acquired Equinox Fitness Clubs and a partnership interest in Union Square Events.

As Executive Chairman, Mr. Ross will continue to be responsible for global business strategy and development and maintain his focus on the execution of the 26-acre Hudson Yards development. Mr. Blau will be responsible for the strategic direction of the company, overall management of the firm, the pursuit of new development opportunities and corporate acquisitions and financing activities across all business platforms. Mr. Beal will oversee the day-to-day development process for projects across all assets classes throughout the country, asset management, our affordable housing initiatives, and continue to play a key role in managing issues that affect our industry. Mr. Wong will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative, corporate and business functions, and the company’s national and international expansion activities.

Related currently has an extremely robust multi-billion dollar pipeline of projects under development and in construction including, the 13 million square foot Hudson Yards development, 30th Street and 10th Ave, East 92 Street and Third Avenue, Gateway Center Phase 2 in East New York, Hunter’s Point South, One Madison Park, 225 Rector Place and Willets Point in New York City, 111 West Wacker Drive and 500 Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, 100 Arlington in Boston, The Village at Santa Monica, a new rental development at Grand Avenue in Los Angeles, a convention hotel in West Palm Beach, Sowwah Square in Abu Dhabi and a large scale residential development in Riyadh.

Jeff T. Blau has been with Related for 22 years and previously served as President since 2000. Mr. Blau serves on the Board of Directors of Equinox Holdings, Inc., the New York City Investment Fund, Central Park Conservatory, The Wharton Graduate Executive Board, and the Board of Trustees of The Mount Sinai Medical Center and Urban Land Institute, a member of the steering committee for the Association for a Better New York (ABNY) and a board member of the Union Square Partnership. Mr. Blau completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and received a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bruce A. Beal, Jr., previously served as Executive Vice President of Related. Mr. Beal joined Related in 1995. Mr. Beal is a trustee for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the Citizens Budget Commission and St. Bernard’s School. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Friends of the High Line, the Advisory Board of Harvard University’s Taubman Center for State and Local Government and REBNY’s Executive Committee, Board of Governors and Housing Committee. Mr. Beal graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Kenneth P. Wong previously served as Vice Chairman of Related since rejoining the company in 2008. Mr. Wong has over thirty-years of diverse experience having overseen the development of a broad range of real estate assets from retail shopping centers to theme parks and planned communities both in the U.S. and international markets and representing well over $20 billion worth of assets. His executive experience includes both development and operating companies, both public and private, bridging the worlds of real estate, entertainment, design and technology. Mr. Wong was previously affiliated with Westfield America, Inc. where he served as President and was responsible for all operations, development, leasing, marketing and management of the $15 billion Westfield portfolio of approximately 65 properties, 9,000 retailers and over 20 active developments and spent nearly a decade as a senior executive at The Walt Disney Company where he held a number of key executive positions including President of the Disney Development Company and President of Walt Disney Imagineering. Mr. Wong holds dual Masters Degrees in Urban Studies and Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors Degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
