Opened in December 2021, Brent Cross Town's Visitor Pavilion is the first building to welcome visitors within the more than 50-acre mixed-use development that will feature residences, student housing, offices, retail, community spaces and parks. The pavilion was designed by Moxon Architects as a temporary building that leads to a temporary park, constructed with a recyclable timber frame and employing modular construction methods to reduce its carbon footprint. For the community, the Visitor Pavilion serves as a way to engage them and to pique their interest in the forthcoming walkable development. Inside, dn&co has designed a gallery space that tells the story of Brent Cross Town using interactive mediums including a scaled-down visual model, audio pieces that help listeners achieve tranquility, a finger skateboard park, a giant version of tic-tac-toe and a collection of photos chronicling the neighborhood's history. Since its opening, the Visitor Pavilion has hosted a series of free events, such as local history talks, art workshops and family storytelling nights, creating a fun and educational space where the community can come together in Brent Cross Town's completion.
