This summer, teams across Related's offices have had the pleasure to nurture and inspire the 2022 class of summer interns, a diverse and accomplished group of young people. With intern groups encompassing current high school students, college undergraduates and graduate students, the program spans a wide range of experiences and professional and social programming over the course of the summer. Each internship program exposes students to all aspects of the real estate business, and interns have the ability to tailor their experience based on their individual talents and interests.
Related employees provide education and guidance as interns work on solving hands-on problems within Related's entrepreneurial environment, where they build valuable relationships and prepare for life after graduation. Each intern is assigned to a Summer Advisor who serves as a mentor during the length of the program. They also participate in weekly events, including a speaker series featuring Related executives and employees. Two event highlights from this summer include Related Midwest's outing where interns toured Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) and embarked on a river cruise along the Chicago River, as well as Related's New York volunteer opportunity with the Billion Oyster Project at Governor's Island where interns helped rehabilitate oyster reefs in the New York Harbor. While the internship program will come to an end, interns will walk away with invaluable skills and experiences that will contribute to a brighter future.
