Related's retail destinations spread holiday cheer with spirited events and dazzling décor

This holiday season, Related's vibrant city centers proudly extend the holiday spirit to residents, workers, visitors and all the unique and diverse communities that we serve. Our properties have commemorated the season of giving all throughout December with festive event series, above-and-beyond holiday decorations, charitable contributions and more. Learn more about the celebrations below.

In New York City, Hudson Yards presented a month packed with merry programming and mesmerizing decorations. Shine Bright at Hudson Yards Presented by Wells Fargo returned for another year, illuminating The Shops at Hudson Yards with over 2 million white lights and hot air balloons for stunning photo opportunities. Santa's Secret launched an immersive North Pole tour for adults featuring six installations, live musical performances and Santa’s secret speakeasy at the end of the tour. Live performances with Broadway stars from hit shows like Aladdin, complimentary jazz concerts by Wednesdays with Wells Fargo and a family-friendly events like The PAW Patrol™ Experience at CAMP offered something for everyone. Additionally, Hudson Yards partnered with Lindeblad School of Music and We Are All Music Foundation (WAAM) to auction off a restored 1932 Steinway piano for musical education, summoning performers from around the world to play live performances on the piano for visitors at The Shops at Hudson Yards.

Bronx Terminal Market transformed itself into Winter Wonderland, welcoming Bronx locals and their families to a themed outdoor celebration. Visitors met a roaming Santa and his elves who handed out complimentary cookies, entered a virtual reality booth with snow-filled experiences and danced to a live DJ playing Top 40 hits and holiday tunes. They also received goodies from participating retailers and took home prizes from special giveaways. To benefit the community, Bronx Terminal Market also partnered up with Catholic Charities of New York to provide food distributions for underserved locals. The monthly food distribution events were held all throughout 2021, and the final event of the year happened on December 10th, ending the year a little brighter for families in need.

In South Florida, The Square welcomed visitors to a month-long holiday extravaganza packed with interactive events and family fun. West Palm Beach locals experienced nightly snowfall events, watching The Square transform into a winter spectacle, paired with vivid light shows at The Wishing Tree. Weekly live musical performances on Mondays and weekends brought some of the most talented local musicians to The Square, ranging from Christmas caroling by Dreyfoos School of the Arts students to The King's Ensemble jazz ensemble to intimate performances by the Palm Beach Symphony. Events celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali and Kwanzaa invited visitors to partake in global holiday traditions, in addition to weekly photo sessions with Santa under The Wishing Tree. In early December, The Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival took over The Square for a full weekend, bringing together gourmands of all ages for cooking demos, chef competitions, cocktail making classes and book signings. Finally, guests were encouraged to support The Salvation Army by purchasing angels from Guest Services, which contributed to the organization providing new clothing and toys to millions of children nationwide.
