Related's teams were proud to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th, as well as Women's History Month all month long, acknowledging all the women on our teams and their important contributions. From company-wide fundraising to camaraderie-building events, Related's teams made an effort to recognize how women make a difference in the workplace and in their communities.

In New York City, leading up to Women's History Month, Related's Women’s Network ERG coordinated an employee outing to The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Attendees were treated to a private tour of the new art exhibit Women Dressing Women, which featured works from The Met's permanent collection. The exhibit spanned more than 70 womenswear designers from the beginning of the twentieth century up until the modern day, highlighting the enduring influence of women-led fashion design and creators. On March 20th, the Women's Network also hosted a Women’s Health Fair at 30 Hudson Yards. Employees enjoyed food from Blue Park Kitchen and participated in giveaways, in addition to receiving health information from Mount Sinai, Progyny and One Medical.

Related's Women's Network ERG also launched virtual company-wide giving campaigns for nonprofits Every Mother Counts, which strives to provide maternity care access to women worldwide, and She Should Run, which aims to increase the number of women running for public office. From March 8th-31st, the Women’s Network matched employee donations made through these campaigns up to $250 per organization. On March 27th, the Women’s Network also hosted a virtual and in-person Lunch & Learn series with Related Beal President Kimberly Sherman Stamler, which was visually captured by artist Zara Fina Stasi. During the session, Stamler shared learnings from her storied career and her extensive experience in the real estate industry.

On International Women's Day, Related Management Company employees across the country showed their solidarity by wearing purple, representing the women's suffrage movement and the global pursuit of achieving women's equality. During RMC's quarterly meeting, the team also invited Ann Silverberg, CEO of NorCal Affordable & Northwest Divisions, to deliver empowering insights gathered from her illustrious career.

In West Palm Beach on International Women’s Day, Related Southeast's team brought together nearly 90 community members at 360 Rosemary, organizing a panel discussion about women who have overcome personal and career challenges while remaining true to their authentic selves. Related Southeast CFO Katie Block moderated the discussion, which included Dr. Ava Parker, Commissioner Christina Lambert and Fabiola Brumley. Nancy G. Brinker from Promise Fund of Florida introduced the event and explained the nonprofit's mission to reduce health care disparities for women, and attendees enjoyed healthy light bites provided by Pura Vida.

In Boston, Related Beal's team celebrated International Women’s Day by attending the Breaking Barriers, Buildings Bridges breakfast, which was hosted by Mass NOW at Simmons University. Women from over 50 organizations throughout the region participated in the event, which centered on a panel discussion featuring women who are making strides in traditionally male-dominated industries.

Thank you to all those women who participated to help make a lasting impact this Women's History Month!
