Related teams bring communities together with Thanksgiving events and giveaways

To celebrate Thanksgiving, Related teams across the country brought residents and their communities together with festive events and giveaways. Read on for highlights from events across our offices and properties. 

In New York City, team members from Related and development partner Essence and Wynn distributed Thanksgiving pies and side dishes to residents of Fulton and Elliott-Chelsea Houses. Additionally, Related Life organized an interactive pumpkin pie cooking class at The Easton, while Related Kids Club hosted mini pie-making workshops at One Hudson Yards, Tribeca Park and The Easton. 

In Boston, the Related Beal team volunteered at St. Peter's Lithuanian Church and Parish, serving lunch and preparing Thanksgiving turkeys for Shirley's Pantry. In Oregon, Related Northwest collaborated with Walsh Construction Co. and the Housing Authority of Clackamas County to distribute hams and turkeys to families at Hillside Park. 

Related Affordable team also hosted a variety of celebrations across its properties: 

• The Garden Gate Apartments in Forth Worth, TX, organized a Friendsgiving Friday communal meal, complete with themed goodie bags. 
• Garden House of River Oaks in Calumet City, IL, hosted a fun-filled evening featuring bingo and a Thanksgiving dinner, while Fullerton Court partnered with the nonprofit Bright Star Community Outreach to coordinate the property's annual turkey giveaway. 
• Barnum House in Bridgeport, CT, served a Thanksgiving-themed luncheon at the local Salvation Army.
