Throughout the month of May, employees at Related came together to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, honoring the rich traditions and cultures of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Accounting FP&A Analyst Esther Kim led a team that curated and delivered Asian-themed snack baskets to Related offices around the country, featuring fan favorite nibbles like savory Malaysian Nabati Cheese Wafers and sweet Japanese Pocky coated biscuits. With snacks selected from countries all throughout Asia, the baskets provided opportunities for employees to learn more about each treat's national origins as they explored new culinary grounds.
On May 26th, the Related Diversity team hosted a tea-tasting event at 30 Hudson Yards led by Lei Huang, VP, Design & Construction; Jennifer Chan, Project Manager, Municipal Compliance; and Jie Wei Li, Administrative Assistant, with support from Related's AAPI Month committee. The event invited employees to experience a tea ceremony held according to Chinese tradition. Attendees learned how to brew tea and tasted delicious tea samplings along with light bites.
