With a goal to add additional support for senior residents, Related has entered a partnership with Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation, a non-profit organization that offers award-winning services to residents in affordable communities throughout the country. Related residents in the Ridgewood and Pineview affordable senior communities located in The Woodlands, Texas will receive access to Rainbow’s health and wellness services and programming at no cost. Residents can use an extensive library of supportive services and programs, which Rainbow has customized according to each community’s needs.
Rainbow’s programs are designed to help seniors stay healthy and socially engaged, focusing on key areas like providing medical resources, exercise regimens, computer training, financial literacy and plenty of opportunities to socialize. To help keep residents connected no matter their lifestyle, programs are offered via live and recorded webinars, in-person workshops and through the Senior Circle focus group. When Ridgewood and Pineview residents need additional support, they can also call Rainbow’s national call center or use the organization’s referral network to take advantage of internal and partner resources, such as faith-based organizations and transportation options. Interactive reading groups featuring industry volunteers also provide residents the opportunity to stay engaged. Using any internet-connected device, residents can also check Rainbow’s online calendar and mobile app to sign up for classes and workshops and to learn more about what’s happening within their communities.
