During Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage (AAPI) Month in May, Related Midwest Senior Development Associate of Affordable Housing Shreya Singh contributed to the launch of South Asians in Real Estate (SAIRE). Singh joined forces with other prominent real estate colleagues to establish the Chicago-based nonprofit, which welcomed local professionals to its inaugural event on May 8th. SAIRE has set out to uplift and connect the city's South Asian community, with a goal of increasing the demographic's representation in the industry. By partnering with prominent real estate businesses and partner organizations, the group intends to open doors for South Asians looking for new opportunities or to level up in the career path, including younger members who seek mentor relationships.
