Nick started at RMC as a community manager at Tall Oaks in Middletown, NY, but his hard work and devotion to residents was rewarded with promotions—first to regional manager, and then two years later, to regional vice president of Affordable East. Among the qualities Nick says RMC seeks out in applicants are an enthusiasm to provide stellar customer service, the drive to take ownership of a property in order to see its residents thrive and a background related to affordable housing. According to Nick, one of the best benefits that RMC offers employees is investing in their future development, such as offering educational classes that employees can take in-person or online, and internal training programs that can level up their careers. And the most rewarding aspect of Nick's job? Being able to partner with organizations like Meals on Wheels to assist elderly residents who have difficulty leaving their residences, or working with local banks to host financial management sessions that can help make a big difference in a family's finances.
