In July, Related Companies’ 10-week intensive summer internship program concluded at the company's offices located in New York, Chicago, Boston and California. Throughout the summer, interns from around the country had the incredible opportunity to experience the real estate business firsthand and spend invaluable time with industry leaders across disciplines including development, design and construction, HR, marketing and more. Within fast-paced and supportive environments, interns worked on real projects that made an impact and that helped them hone important skills for their future careers. In addition to receiving hands-on training and mentorship from Related's employees, interns also had chance to learn directly from the executive team, connect at networking events and give back to our communities. Related CEO Jeff Blau addressed interns in a talk where he discussed the future of real estate, including how innovations in artificial intelligence will impact the industry during the development process. Related President Bruce Beal shared with interns how the company has remained resilient and consistently reinvested in its top talent throughout its 50-plus-year history. In New York City, interns spent an afternoon volunteering with local partner Hudson Guild, which supports the West Side community with critical resources and programming for children and adults in need. Interns also spent quality time together and meeting team members at office mixers, went on site tours for key projects and enjoyed time unwinding at after-hours events, such as a pasta-making class.
