Related is happy to announce an important partnership with CareMax, a healthcare provider focused on delivering inclusive best-in-class service to patients, providers and health plan partners. CareMax is pioneering new healthcare business models based on monthly subscriptions paid by Medicaid and Medicare, rather than fees charged by individual clinician offices, hospitals and clinics. With a goal to open healthcare centers in new cities beyond what is currently offered, such as New York, California, Texas, Ohio and other states, the partnership with CareMax will allow more seniors across the country with easier access to high-quality healthcare and comprehensive wellness services.
“At Related, we aspire to innovate ways to enhance the quality of life for all of our residents and the communities we serve,” said Bryan Cho, executive vice president at Related Companies. “Quality healthcare is essential for all communities to thrive. We chose CareMax as a partner to help expand their reach because their fully integrated model is uniquely positioned to address the systemic issue many low-income seniors face.”
Two of CareMax’s first healthcare centers in partnership with Related will be located in the Bronx and Queens in NYC, which will occupy 5,000 square feet and 8,500 square feet, respectively. Each healthcare center will offer primary care, specialist physicians and dentistry, as well as services like wellness classes and social activities. CareMax intends to provide patients better healthcare services at a lower cost and more efficiently, naming their approach "Whole Person Health.” This holistic perspective covers not only physical health, but mental health and social needs. By providing benefits like transportation, virtual care and home visits, CareMax is helping to remove healthcare barriers for underserved seniors, and Related is proud to partner with them on this mission.
