In 2025, Related Affordable Foundation awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to 24 residents of affordable communities across the country, including nine returning scholarship recipients. Each year, the RAF Scholarship Program invites high school seniors to apply and then supports selected students so they can pursue their educational dreams while facing fewer financial barriers. To qualify, students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrate financial need and plan to enroll in an accredited postsecondary program. Selected students can receive up to $5,000 and may reapply annually if they remain eligible. In 2025, Related Affordable Foundation received more applications than ever before, awarding scholarships to students residing in New Jersey and California for the first time. And for the third year in a row, the Foundation partnered with fintech company Esusu to promote the program to affordable communities via email, text and mailed postcards. Foundation staff additionally supported students with in-person and virtual information sessions to answer any questions and assist with applications. As the 2026 RAF Scholarship Program prepares to launch applications in March, the Foundation will continue nurturing students as they work towards achieving their academic goals.
