During Pride Month, Related offices and residences hosted events and celebrated Pride to strengthen ties within their communities.In New York, Related's New York City employees came together for engaging events, volunteering opportunities and community partnerships centered on Pride. Related's Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG) brought employees together for a Sip & Learn event with Family Equality at Oyamel in Hudson Yards. Family Equality shared more about the nonprofit's work providing LGBTQ+ people with legal information and critical resources, and employees connected over Oyamel's delicious refreshments and Mexican bites. At 50 Hudson Yards, the Customer Experience team led a volunteering event in partnership with Covenant House, a nonprofit that offers safe housing to young people experiencing homelessness. Employees donated their time by assembling care kits that contained essentials and toiletries, which would then be distributed to young people in need.San Francisco's team members attended SF Pride Night with the San Francisco Giants against the Chicago Cubs at Oracle Park, a tradition that initially began as an HIV and AIDS awareness event. The night included a special pride jersey presented by Gilead and designed by artist Favianna Rodriguez, an exciting baseball game and a post-game fireworks show featuring musical performances by LGBTQIA+ artists.In London, Related Argent acted as one the headline sponsor for this year's Pride in Property initiative held on June 4, which provided a supportive and celebratory environment where professionals and allies in the real estate industry came together. The fundraising event featured vibrant entertainment during an evening of cabaret and drove important conversations about acceptance in the industry. This year's proceeds were donated to Switchboard, a UK-based support line where all calls are answered by volunteers from the LGBTQIA+ community.Across Related's residences, vibrant Pride celebrations and activities allowed our residents to engage in fun and meaningful ways. New York City affordable community Manhattan Plaza threw its 4th annual Resident Pride Event where over 100 people attended. Residents and their guests watched talented performers, including the Manhattan Plaza Choir, as well as a resident emcee and DJ Ellen who provided engaging soundtracks throughout the night. At 10K Hill South in Washington D.C., Related Life hosted a Summer Social & Pride Celebration on the luxury rental's rooftop. Attendees enjoyed light bites and drinks, a live DJ and a pool party mixer from the comfort of their own home. San Francisco luxury senior residence Coterie Cathedral Hill brought residents together for a memorable drag brunch to cap off the month's Pride events, offering a high-energy event featuring Carnie Asada, Vanilla Merengue and special guest resident Rick as Ethel Merman.
