This summer, Related's city centers are bringing together their communities with programs designed to get people outdoors and to meet their neighbors. At Hudson Yards in New York City, the much-loved series Backyard at Hudson Yards Presented by Wells Fargo is back with a full slate of open-air events happening at the Public Square and Gardens. Backyard at Hudson Yards is offering activities that engage the body and mind—from Summer Concerts with up-and-coming and established artists to wellness-centered Power Hour classes that incorporate mindful movement and recovery to family-oriented entertainment including interactive Mozart for Munchkins concerts and performances by Wondersparks Puppets. In Chicago, forthcoming development The 78 has launched Bridge Sports Chicago, a brand new 5-acre sports park powered by Chicago Sport & Social Club in the heart of the South Loop neighborhood. Community members can come together for open play on the soccer, baseball and softball fields, as well as two tennis courts and 10 pickleball courts operated by Big City Pickle. Visitors can also sign up for clinics led by expert instructors, join sports leagues and rent the courts and fields for group play and private events.In London, Brent Cross Town has kicked off Summer in the Park, where the neighborhood's verdant outdoor spaces will feature a variety of free events and workshops geared for families. Created with the community in mind, programs like yoga, running groups and Chess Club offer weekly opportunities for connection for adults, while skateboarding with Keep Rolling Project, arts & crafts with Anna van der Poorten and beat-the-goalie with Brent Cross Football Academy allow kids to stay active and express themselves. Residents and visitors can also explore the neighborhood with an informative walking tour of Brent Cross Town, public art trail and activity-filled Exploratory Park.Also in London, King's Cross has relaunched its annual King's Cross Riviera agenda of offerings presented along the peaceful Regent’s Canal. Everyman on the Canal invites visitors to more than 100 blockbuster films and sporting events on the water, set against a vibrant screen created by designer and artist Yinka Ilori. Additional artistic and and cultural offerings include the immersive Prehistoric Planet: Discovering Dinosaurs exhibit at Lightroom and accompanying Dinosaur Trail throughout the area, the bustling Shōtengai Market featuring delicious pan-Asian cuisine and goods and Rueda Libre's social salsa classes every week in Coal Drops Yard.
