On August 9, nonprofit HIRE360 was featured in CBS Chicago, highlighting how the program is connecting locals from underrepresented backgrounds to enriching careers and helping them build their small businesses within the real estate industry. Established in 2019 with support from Related Midwest as a founding community partner, HIRE360 has opened the door for marginalized Chicagoans to discover new opportunities in the trades, including apprentice electrician Nicolas Gamino, who is featured in CBS Chicago's video. Gamino landed his apprenticeship through HIRE360, received guidance from the organization as he narrowed down his career path and eventually discovered a passion for electrical work. To date, HIRE360 has helped place more than 400 people within Chicago-area trade unions, and it also networks minority- and women-owned businesses to on-site subcontractors to diversify the local supply chain.
