On August 9th, Related's New York Development and Design/Construction teams gave back to the West Chelsea community with an invaluable day of service. In collboration with longtime community partner Hudson Guild, Related CEO Jeff Blau and EVP of Design and Construction Emad Lotfalla joined employees for a day of activities that supported residents of nearby Fulton & Elliott Chelsea Houses. Dozens of volunteers read, played games and participated in arts and crafts with young children ages 2-4, and guided elementary school-age children in hands-on STEM activities. They also bonded with seniors from Hudson Guild's Naturally Occurring Retirement Community and Older Adult Center, playing bingo and board games with residents. Volunteers additionally helped paint the Fulton Community Center and plant, weed and mulch the community gardens, ensuring that visitors can reap the benefits of a greener and more beautiful outdoor space.
Related is proud to continue investing in our partnership with Hudson Guild, a multi-service agency that assists people who live, work or study in the Chelsea neighborhood. We believe that by deepening our relationships with impactful community partners, and by directly giving back in a team effort, we can improve the lives of our neighbors and shape more connected cities.
