Michigan is truly leading the way in terms of creating a framework for responsible digital infrastructure development.
December 18th’s approval by the Michigan Public Service Commission allows Related Digital’s Saline project to move forward—a multi-billion-dollar investment in Michigan that will deliver a more than 1-gigawatt data center campus for Oracle as part of OpenAI and Oracle’s previously announced partnership to deliver 4.5 gigawatts of additional Stargate capacity.
This action gives confidence to thousands of union construction workers that, come the new year, they will be able to proudly build the infrastructure of the future in their home state of Michigan, rather than traveling to Ohio or Indiana.
We look forward to full construction commencing as scheduled in Q1 2026, and releasing nearly $5 billion in construction work and subcontracts available to Michigan companies and contractors.
