Throughout Related properties worldwide, the 2024 holiday season brought an abundance of people together with festive events and charitable initiatives that gave back to their communities. We are so thankful to all our team members who helped make this time special with our residents, visitors and employees. Read on for a recap about our properties' most memorable occasions.

In New York City, our retail destinations created unforgettable holiday experiences with one-of-a-kind decorations, special shopping sessions and magical events. The Shops at Columbus Circle reached its 20-year anniversary of serving the neighborhood, celebrating with a very special Holiday Under the Stars decorations that featured 300,000 sparkling lights and changing colors that "danced" to holiday music, as well as weekly Broadway performances and an interactive, larger-than-life Gingerbread Lane Village & Workshops exhibit. Shine Bright at Hudson Yards Presented by Wells Fargo lit up West Chelsea with millions of lights and hot air balloon set pieces, presented free family photo opportunities with Santa, observed Hanukkah with a menorah lighting ceremony and hosted VIP one-night shopping experience Sip & Shop presented by Mastercard. Visitors to Edge stepped into Snowscape, which enhanced the sky deck with real winter snow and snowmen, joined family-friendly singalongs at Mozart for Munchkins and enjoyed live jazz on Friday nights. Winter Wonderland returned to Bronx Terminal Market with an all-ages afternoon of live musical entertainment, holiday-themed arts and crafts and giveaways from retailers.

Also in New York City, offices at Hudson Yards participated in the Toys for Tots program, collecting toys in each lobby that were then sent to the US Marine Corps Reserves and donated to families for the holidays. In West Chelsea, Hudson Yards team members joined Essence Development and Wynn to organize holiday gatherings at affordable development Fulton & Elliott-Chelsea Houses. Residents were treated to hot chocolate, gift giveaways and photo sessions with Santa.

In Chicago, Related Midwest teamed up with Related Affordable (RA) and the Related Affordable Foundation (RAF) for multiple fun-filled events to brighten the holidays for residents. Related Midwest employees led a toy drive for children living in South Chicago's 7th and 10th Wards, which are near the development site for future innovation hub 8080 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive. At affordable communities Universal City Apartments and Circle Park Apartments, Related Midwest, RA and RAF partnered with nonprofit ChiGivesBack to arrange gatherings for residents that included offering gifts and breakfast to seniors, providing toys for children and bringing in Santa and his elves for photos and meet-and-greets.

At Related residences nationwide, our property management teams helped ensure that residents would feel surrounded by joy and their community members at engaging events and within communal spaces illuminated with seasonal décor. At San Francisco development Five 88, Related Affordable brought families together for a festive party and communal lunch, offering a hot chocolate station, holiday photos and plenty of giveaways from the building's community partners. At luxury rental and condo buildings in multiple cities, Related Life welcomed residents to fun-filled events including a holiday masquerade at Chicago's One Bennett Park, live Christmas caroler performances and merry parties filled with delicious drinks, light bites and mingling.

In London, North London neighborhood Brent Cross Town invited the community to watch the beloved annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Visitors danced to live music from Oompah Brass, listened to holiday caroling performed by children in local school choirs and enjoyed sweet treats and hot drinks from Gussy’s Ice Cream. Also in London, pedestrian-friendly destination King's Cross supported shoppers with a dazzling array of limited-time artisanal markets that featured handmade goods from local creators. Visitors also discovered large-scale sculptures and immersive art exhibitions, such as Temenos by artist Liliane Lijn and VOGUE: Inventing the Runway, which tells the fascinating history of the fashion runway show through multiple mediums.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this holiday season so special, and we can't wait to see what next year brings!
