Related Argent's 180-acre net zero carbon destination Brent Cross Town has achieved the honor of becoming Europe's first WiredScore and SmartScore neighborhood, joining only nine other developments in the world that have attained both certifications. WiredScore's neighborhood certification distinguishes developments that are significantly digitally connected, resulting in future-proofed infrastructure and improved safety and day-to-day interactions for residents, workers and visitors. The SmartScore certification indicates that a development has incorporated a sufficient level of smart technology to meet stringent sustainability standards and to deliver a best-in-class digital experience for both the people who manage and reside or work in each development. Taken together, these designations signify developments that are leading the way in resiliency, security and eco-conscious innovation.

Related Argent and Barnet Council have developed Brent Cross Town according to the vision of a sustainable, tech-forward and connected community, representing 6,700 new homes, office space to serve 25,000 people, a new high street and more than 50 acres of green and open spaces. Some of the neighborhood's initial technology offerings include ultra-fast internet within every home and free Wi-Fi in public squares, mobile integrations with e-bikes and air taxi vertiports, a sensor network that tracks and ensures healthy environmental conditions and a suite of smart building features that enhances energy efficiency within office buildings. As the neighborhood marches towards achieving net zero carbon by 2030 at the latest, the development continues to introduce new green initiatives, including partnering with Vattenfall to deliver zero-carbon heating to all buildings and measuring the happiness and connectedness of community members with the Flourishing Index Report.
