Less than two years after the first residents moved into London mixed-use neighborhood Brent Cross Town, the property has been undergoing a transformation and rapidly establishing itself as a vibrant neighborhood. By the end of 2026, the development will feature nine buildings on site, doubling the size of the town from its current size of about 3,000 people to around 6,000 people. The development's first office building, 4 Arbour Street, recently reached completion and presents the home of Sheffield Hallam University's newest campus. Brent Cross Town has leased or is under offer on 28,000 square feet of retail space and has plans to welcome exciting new retailers this fall, including reformer and tower Pilates studio el Estudio and contrast therapy brand Slomo. Designed as a 15-minute park town, Brent Cross Town will feature more than 50 acres of parks and playing fields once complete; right now, the first phase of Clitterhouse Playing Fields is underway, presenting a portion of 40 acres of playing fields, sports amenities and a new pavilion for residents, workers and visitors to enjoy. Additionally, Brent Cross Town became the UK's first development to successfully use calcined clay concrete on the neighborhood's third Build-to-Rent building, which will be completed in 2028 and offer more than 200 homes.This summer, Brent Cross Town introduced Summer in the Park, a series of free events designed to get people outside and to meet their neighbors. Over the course of six weeks, Brent Cross Town brought the local community together with 68 activities, ranging from team sports to health and wellness offerings to creative workshops. More than 1,500 visitors participated in events together, including The Play-Offs at The 108, which invited adults of all skill levels to friendly competitions in padel, baseball and a team bootcamp challenge; weekly expert-led outdoor classes including Pilates and yoga; youth-focused programming including parkour, skateboarding and street dance activities; and creative events like arts and crafts sessions and interactive workshops with local creators. Complementing the neighborhood's engaging programming, Summer in the Square curated international food trucks and family games in Neighbourhood Square, providing an eclectic selection of cuisines including Caribbean, Eastern Mediterranean, East Asian and more.With plans to introduce an additional three residential buildings, unveil more public art and open its first permanent on-site recruitment centre, Brent Cross Town is continuing forward with strong momentum and has many exciting offerings in store for North London.
