Gateway Center—located just off the Belt Parkway at Exit 15, Erskine Street, directly across from Spring Creek Park—has been a staple in the East New York, Brooklyn community since 2002. In 2014, the new development expansion, Gateway Center North, made Gateway Center a shopping mecca for local area residents as well as residents of neighboring boroughs. Gateway Center North spans 610,231 square feet and is home to over 35 new shopping options, including JC Penney, TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, GAP Factory, Carters, ShopRite, P.C. Richard & Son, Raymour & Flanigan, Burlington, DSW and Dave & Buster’s.

Gateway Center South, completed in 2002, is home to 13 shops, including Home Depot, BJ's and Target. Dining options include Smashburger, Panera Bread, Buffalo Wild Wings, Applebee’s, Pizza Studio, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Outback Steakhouse. The combined sites offer a wide range of shops and restaurants, nearly 5,000 free parking spaces and beautifully landscaped courtyards and gardens. The beautiful Gateway ArtWalk also displays Brooklyn-artist Abby Goldstein’s art installation entitled Ebb and Flow.
