Gateway Center – located just off the Belt Parkway at Exit 15, Erskine Street, directly across from Spring Creek Park – has been a staple in the East New York, Brooklyn community since 2002.

In 2014 the new development expansion, Gateway Center North, made Gateway Center a shopping mecca for local area residents as well as residents of neighboring boroughs. Gateway Center North spans 610,231 SF and is home to 35 new shopping options including ShopRite, JC Penney, TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack and DSW, and dining options include Applebee's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Panera Bread, Pizza Studio and Smashburger.

Gateway Center South, completed in 2002, is home to 13 shops including Home Depot, BJ's, Target and Bed Bath & Beyond. Dining options include Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster and Olive Garden.
