Real Estate Fund Mgmt.
Our real estate fund management team, staffed with industry veterans, leverages our core expertise as a real estate development and operating company and our significant finance experience to manage capital on behalf of Related and third party investors in a comingled format.
Our vertically integrated national platform offers a competitive advantage and the ability to build a diverse investment portfolio, both by product type and geography. The depth and breadth of our team allow us to address every aspect of a transaction including sourcing, due diligence, financing, construction, design, marketing and sales, leasing, property management and financial reporting.
The fund management platform is currently focused on three areas: distressed real estate opportunities, origination and acquisition of debt, and multi-family housing opportunities. Representative investments include the acquisition of failed residential developments in need of significant workouts and repositioning in New York and Florida, and providing senior financing for a commercial redevelopment in Illinois and a ground-up multifamily development in Florida.
Related has also partnered with one of the largest real estate financial institutions in the United States to acquire, rehabilitate and operate workforce multi-family apartment communities across the country. Integral to the venture is completing the improvements and deferred maintenance at each property as we seek to provide high quality housing options through what we expect will become one of the largest multi-family portfolios in the country. Related has already acquired an ownership stake in excess of 10,000 units through this partnership to date and we anticipate additional acquisitions.
Related Real Estate Fund Management currently manages capital on behalf of public pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, Taft Hartley plans and family offices.
