Brent Cross Town's newly opened Claremont Park has been designed as a people-first green space, incorporating feedback from the neighborhood during the design process. Combining wellness principles with natural elements, such as 300 tree plantings and the creation of new nature trails, Claremont Park invites the entire community to come together and play, exercise and explore.

NYC's The Harriet Tubman Building takes home the 2022 Big Apple Brownfield Award

Related is pleased to announce that affordable development The Harriet Tubman Building in Far Rockaway, Queens has won the 2022 Big Apple Brownfield Award in the Community Space category. Presented by nonprofit The NYC Brownfield Partnership, the award recognizes the 100% supportive housing development for its 1,200-square-foot community room available to residents and a 2,000-square-foot public playground that serves the community.

Brent Cross Town partners with Fusion on the brand's first student housing development in London

Mixed-use center Brent Cross Town has partnered with Fusion and Cheyne Capital to develop Fusion at Brent Cross Town, which will offer 662 private student accommodations in the heart of the neighborhood. To date, Fusion has demonstrated its commitment to creating positive and thoughtfully designed spaces for students in nine developments across the UK. Fusion will use a purpose-built approach to deliver and manage student accommodations that will span three connected blocks, offering a variety of safe and private student spaces, 24/7 services and a calendar full of social activities. Students will have access to a range of engaging amenities like a multi-purpose tiered events area, coffee shop and zero-waste shop, social lounge, cinema room, e-sports arena and KTV karaoke room, in addition to study lounges and private study rooms. Dedicated fitness amenities will include an on-site gym, yoga studio, basketball court, wellness studio and external terrace. Students will also have access to the 180-acre neighborhood's wealth of shops, restaurants, green spaces and transportation options, providing a uniquely connected and enriching living experience.

On June 11th, Related Companies partnered with ServiceNow and The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan (BGCSM) to host the Tech Showcase Pitch Competition in Detroit. ServiceNow donated $10,000 to the competition in which young participants sought funding for innovative business ideas. Related is proud to support Detroit's next generation of entrepreneurs and to help build the region's talent pipeline.

Related Affordable Foundation and City Harvest team up to feed residents in need

Related Affordable Foundation has partnered with City Harvest to deliver thousands of pounds of food to the Far Rockaway, Queens community. Yesterday, City Harvest delivered 5,800 pounds of plums, white potatoes and beets to 150 families, all free of charge. Through this partnership, over 55,000 pounds of food have been distributed to people in need since September 2021.

In early May, Related’s Early Career Network (ECN) hosted its first neighborhood walk with nonprofit Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, the city's oldest and largest youth mentoring group. The event brought together Hudson Yards employees and students from Manhattan's Leadership & Public Service High School on a scenic walk that started at the Public Square & Gardens and passed through Hudson River Park and the High Line.
