Stephen Ross says new Innovation Center will keep talent from leaving Detroit

Bloomberg / October 30, 2019

Detroit Center for Innovation (DCI) is a new multi-building research, education and business complex coming to downtown Detroit. Related Founder and Chairman Stephen M. Ross contributed a major gift to establish the site’s central 190,000-square-foot academic building, which will be operated by the University of Michigan and will provide a hub for up to 1,000 graduate and senior-level undergraduate students pursuing high-tech disciplines.

World Central Kitchen outpost serves over 88,000 meals to essential workers

To support New York City’s frontline workers, we partnered with José Andrés’ global organization World Central Kitchen to provide free meals at 55 Hudson Yards and support the local community. Thanks to all the tireless volunteers and the incredible generosity of family, friends, individuals and neighbors like Wells Fargo, the WCK outpost has served over 88,000 meals and has raised over $1.6 million to date.

This May, Related Midwest and the Related Affordable Foundation partnered with nonprofit Feed Chicago to provide contactless deliveries of over 2,000 free hot lunches to all residents of the Parkway Gardens affordable housing development. The meals were made possible by collective donations of $18,176, which came from Related Midwest, the Related Affordable Foundation, Related Rentals and Related Midwest employees.
