The Paramount unveils $25 million re-imagination

San Francisco’s highly coveted luxury high-rise reveals new interior design and unparalleled resident amenity collection.

The Paramount, a Related Companies inspired community rising 43 stories in the heart of San Francisco’s SoMa district, is pleased to unveil the property’s $25 million re-imagination. Originally constructed in 2001 with 387 market rate apartments, The Paramount’s inspired enhancements showcase a sleek, modern design, including a total refresh to the lobby, common spaces and residences, as well as a new state-of-the-art amenity collection. The Paramount’s re-imagination reflects the neighborhood’s commitment to the arts, offering a modernized building at the nexus of a vibrant surrounding community.

Bill Witte, chairman of Related California, said, “The significant property-wide reimagination further elevates The Paramount’s status as one of the most coveted San Francisco high-rises and was designed to enhance our creative, professional and entrepreneurial residents’ lifestyles. We are very excited to offer a new way of elevated living for our residents here at The Paramount and at our future residential developments in San Francisco. Our innovative and creative approach will again be evidenced in all of our forthcoming residential developments including 1601 Mariposa, 1500 Mission and 245 First Street, which will also offer full-service, amenity-rich rental lifestyle buildings for our most discerning residents.”

Related is the most prominent privately owned real estate firm in the United States and was recently named one of the “50 Most Innovative Companies in the World” by Fast Company Magazine. Related was also one of the first developers to recognize the importance of great design and partner with world-class architects and designers. Designed by Marmol Radziner, an award-winning, West Coast-based design-build firm, The Paramount’s new look is elegant and contemporary, incorporating natural elements such as polished marble and wood textures throughout the lobby and the entire building.

The newly refined lobby creates a warm, welcoming space for residents and guests, complete with a Nacardo quartzite accent wall, plush lounge seating, limestone floors and a living wall created by Habitat Horticulture that lends softness and life to the space. Reflecting SoMa’s and San Francisco’s commitment to the arts, The Paramount also features artwork from renowned artists, such as Eva Schlegel and Val Britton, which adorns the walls and hallways of the building. Each of The Paramount’s updated residences features modern finishes, a full-size washer and dryer, oversized windows and beautiful hardwood flooring throughout.

New kitchens include premium stainless steel integrated Bosch appliances, rich walnut cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops, a full-height marble backsplash and under-cabinet lighting, while the bathrooms boast a serene shower and tub with elegant Italian tile flooring. Styled by famed local designer Sayre Ziskin, The Paramount’s stunning model unit features an array of neutral colors, complemented by bold patterns and textures throughout the space. The furniture and fixtures reflect a contemporary aesthetic while still retaining warmth and coziness. In addition to the new design elements, the property has unveiled new resident amenities, including an entire floor of functional and social space complete with fully equipped social workspaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center and a yoga studio, as well as a heated outdoor swimming pool, lushly landscaped rooftop terrace with lounge seating, luxurious cabanas and an expansive rooftop dog run.

The Paramount’s full-service business center is perfect for residents who work from home, boasting three spacious private conference rooms and a Tech Bar equipped with complimentary computers, printers and a coffee station. Adjacent to the conference center is the building’s entertainment lounge, well furnished with a demonstration kitchen, dining area and oversized TVs for residents and their guests. Also located on the second floor amenity space, the state-of-the-art fitness center offers an innovative approach to health and wellness that includes a private, multifunctional training facility, a wide range of cutting-edge cardio equipment—each with its own TV and Internet access—and weight training machines. Known for their commitment to providing unprecedented hospitality-inspired service, Related Companies designed The Paramount’s amenity offerings to fulfill residents’ every need.

Residents will enjoy complimentary 24-hour on-site valet parking, valet dry cleaning services, on-site personal storage, on-site bicycle storage, a concierge and RelatedStyle Services®. Additionally, as owners of Equinox® and SoulCycle, Related provides The Paramount’s residents with exclusive benefits at both establishments. Residents of The Paramount are also given access to unlimited 30-minute rides with Bay Area Bike Share for their first year.

“Inspired by the buzz and energy of San Francisco, The Paramount was designed to reflect and cater to the lifestyle and personality of our San Francisco residents, making it the perfect place to call home and connect with family, friends and colleagues,” said David Greenberg, vice president of Related Management Company. “The Paramount provides residents with the utmost luxury and unparalleled five-star service, and we look forward to reintroducing the property to the San Francisco market.”
