As a pioneer developer of green buildings, Related has partnered with the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) for nearly a decade. We share the USGBC’s mission to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

Related was one of the first developers to utilize the USGBC’s LEED® Green Building Rating System™ building the second green residential high rise in the nation and the first green residential building in the Midwest. Through our corporate commitment to sustainable design, development and operations, Related has become a leader of green building across all asset classes, a commitment that is unmatched in size and scale in the industry.

Related proudly serves on the NY Chapter of the USGBC (Urban Green Council) Board of Directors and received their 2008 inaugural Development Award for “the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainable design and ongoing commitment to greening their significant portfolio.”
