Real Estate Development

Widely recognized as one of the most innovative and prolific developers in the U.S., we are dedicated to the highest standards of all aspects of the real estate equation. To ensure our vision is realized, we offer in-house expertise that spans every discipline including site identification and assembly, zoning and entitlements, financing, master planning, design, construction, marketing, leasing and sales.

Our capabilities include residential development ranging from affordable and workforce housing to luxury rental and for-sale residences; large format retail development; hotel and hospitality opportunities; office development; and unparalleled expertise incorporating all of these uses, along with verdant and reflective open spaces, into dynamic city centers.

For decades, we have placed a high premium on architecture and design, working with world class architects including Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaus’ OMA Partners, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Rockwell Partners, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, KPF and Robert A. M. Stern Architects. We also partner with acclaimed interior designers and landscape designers to enhance every aspect of our properties.

We’re proud that our buildings continue to redefine the concept of sophisticated urban living, contributing to the economic vitality and quality of life for our residents, guests, office tenants, visitors, neighborhoods and surrounding communities.

With major developments focused in key gateway cities including New York City, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, South Florida, Abu Dhabi and London, we design and build significant and iconic structures that enhance and engage the cities in which we’re in. Hudson Yards—now under construction on Manhattan’s West Side—is the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States and combines all of the development disciplines we have carefully honed. In Los Angeles, The Grand recently broke ground and represents the culmination of over a decade of hard work and determination, laying the foundation for a new destination that will reinvent the vibrancy of downtown LA. We’re set to continue on our path of innovative city center development with new destinations planned in Northern California (Related Santa Clara), Chicago (The 78) and London (Brent Cross South and Heart of Hale).
